Someone Called This Girl Stupid For Doing Dangerous Things, Then Saw Her Last Name

https://www.boredpanda.com/steve-crocodile-hunter-daughter-follows-fathers-footsteps-bindi-irwin/
19-year-old Bindi Irwin is proving that she is a ‘chip off the old block’ by following in the footsteps of her famous father, showing the same natural charm and close connection with animals of all kinds.

Much like her brother Robert, Bindi has been in the spotlight from an early age, appearing on her father’s show The Crocodile Hunter as young as six months old. During the filming of a commercial, Steve Irwin placed toddler Bindi on a crocodile’s back and said: “You’re watching Animal Planet with the Crocodile Hunter, and family!”

Since that unique on-screen debut she has tried her hand at all kinds of things, from acting and singing, to hosting TV shows and even winning an emotional season of Dancing With The Stars. The world has watched her grow up from her father’s adorable sidekick, through the aftermath of his tragic passing, to the confident and eloquent young lady she is today.

Bindi’s true passion is wildlife and, just like her father, she has that special gift of sharing her enthuasiasm, inspiration and message of conservation to the world. She still lives and works at Australia Zoo, which was founded and has been run by the Irwin family since 1970. “I have spent my entire life living in a zoo, which is pretty crazy. Not many kids get to say that,” she told E! News.“It took me until I was about three years old to realize that we didn’t just come to the zoo every day, that we actually lived here.”

Together with her mom and brother, Bindi is making sure her father’s legacy remains, and Steve, a hero to many of us of a certain age, is never forgotten. “We want to make sure that his message of wildlife and conservation continues,” she said. “Because he was the world’s greatest conservationist and we never want that message to die.”

Steve Irwin was one of my favorites! We used to watch him all the time.

"Danger. Danger. Danger."

"Crikeys."

It was so tragic when he died.

Good for you Bindi - your legacy is fearlessness.

Right behind my friends house. She had a cougar in a cage in her back yard. This was before she met and married Steve
