Former First Lady Barbara Bush dead at 92

Former First Lady Barbara Bush died Tuesday evening at the age of 92, according to a press release from the Office of George H.W. Bush.

Barbara Bush was “a relentless proponent of family literacy,” according to the release.

I appreciate your post a lot, after having read a number of decidedly uncharitable reactions by other DUers.

I was never fond of Barbara Bush, but I hold no particular animus against her, either. She was who she was, and now she is no more.

The same fate lies in store for all of us.
