For the cable news outlets, however, it provides a welcome relief from the constant domination of the news cycles by all things Trump.
I'm really glad we got rid of cable TV several years ago.

(31,464 posts)The liberal media will go into overdrive. CNN will have a week of Blitzer reminiscing about all the good times they had. The fawning Bush movies will be re-run ad nauseam. The only saving grace is that Trump is sure to do something so stupid that they even have to pre-empt the funeral coverage.

(42,703 posts)and exactly what is happening at this very moment (or even happened today as opposed to yesterday) that hasn't been previously reported on?

(1,014 posts)Someone with a voice of reason in here. Its not as if everyone has to dance on every republicans grave. Showing some human decency and respect for a being passing, for fucks sake. Fuck...

(92 posts)person. Geez.....show a little dignity to a nation. You must have missed all the other reporting going on. They kinda have to like right after it happens. Are you going to complain when they remember Bush Sr. or Jr., Carter or Clinton? We tend to give honor to people of significance when they pass. Is this your first in this great nation?

(3,077 posts)She was first lady. She was 92 and married for 73 years. She also did a lot for children's literacy. I don't see anything wrong with paying respects.

(3,077 posts)I just had to say something. It's tasteless and disrespectful. Her husband and sons aren't my favorite people but damn people, show some respect. I can't imagine the loss of a partner after 73 years. That's devastating.
