He certainly does a good job keeping his client's story in the news and in tweaking Cohen and Trump. But in terms of the substantive merits of his actions, I'm not overwhelmed. He's been criticized a couple of times in court for fairly fundamental mistakes. Plus the "sketch" is basically a joke (and is being treated as such on late night tv). It could be anyone. It lacks fundamental information or is vague (5'9" to 6')? Hair color? Eye color? Any distinguishing features? Plus if this person was mid-40's seven years ago, he's now in his 50's and his appearance could be significantly different (weight gain/loss, hair loss, etc.)
And some in the media are making it worse. For example, there is some speculation online that the attacker was Matthew Calamari, Jr. Of course, he doesn't look anything like the picture and he would have been 16 years old at the time of the attack. Lazy reporting.

(4,407 posts)with Ms. Clifford is whether the payoff came out of campaign funds, or alternatively if Cohen violated campaign laws. The rest is salacious fluff and couple of 15 minutes of fame for some pretty unimportant people.

(128,979 posts)but I expect he has staff lawyers "behind the scenes" who are assisting and he is the "front man".
In fact I just looked him up and he does have a firm and he has been involved in huge monetary cases, so he does the "media" part and others are working the details behind the scenes.

(30,481 posts)Im enjoying watching the shit show.
Other groups have been pushing the campaign finance issue.
They have Trump in a tight spot. They are doing a good job of making the most of it.
They are continuing a narrative I support. I made a comment once about how a claim of his was going to be laughed out of court. It was simply absurd in a legal sense. It wasnt a popular opinion here even though it was clearly accurate and was dismissed without questions. I understand it for this reason: propaganda is our friend with respect to the dissemination of our relentless narrative and it is working, IMO.

(24,733 posts)That on one level, as a former Democratic party activist, Avrnatti is using his case and claims to expose the dirty underbelly of all things trump and Cohen.
Would the raid on Cohen's home and office happened last week without the hush money allegations?
