...in yesterday's failure of his department's ability to collect revenue on which the rest of the US government depends.

Remarkably, when there were glitches in the first ever national system for health insurance referrals, the healthcare.gov portal, it was the biggest crisis of all time.

Yesterday, a critical system which has been relatively reliably operated for many years failed. That failure has not generated nearly as much hue and cry as did the healthcare.gov portal.
