McConnell looks at longer workweeks for Senate to keep Dems from campaigning: report
By Max Greenwood - 04/18/18 07:29 PM EDT

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is reportedly looking to hold longer workweeks as a way to keep vulnerable Democratic senators off the campaign trail.

White House legislative director Marc Short told a group of GOP donors this week that McConnell planned to prolong the Senate's workweek in order to reduce the amount of time vulnerable Democrats spend campaigning, according to The Washington Examiner.

One GOP donor told the Examiner that the tactic is intended to keep Democrats, like Sens. Heidi Heitkamp (N.D.), Joe Manchin (W.Va.) and Claire McCaskill (Mo.), "tied up from campaigning."

And mitch always wants to be the guy who makes this happen.

This so-called administration has been the biggest waste of everyone's precious time & precious lives. You can never get this time back.

Of those 6x, only 2x (Heller and Cruz) are in any real run (even considering the blue wave). I have a feeling McTurtle will find a way to "excuse" those 2 from the extra work.

Most of the seats that the blue wave has real potential of capturing are retiring members.

That will hopefully seal the deal and kick Lyin' Ted Cruz off to the nearest lobbying firm. As if someone would want him.
