They either want it to be miraculously free, or they're okay with charging everyone, especially those who can't possibly afford it, to go to school.

are there lots and lots of private schools. That can tell you a lot about the quality of the local public schools.

I know teachers that felt so unappreciated - quite the inverse, in fact - that they left the profession. And they were True Believers in public education.

That makes 4 states...I see a trend. UNION! I hope all these teachers join decent unions for their individual states and the NEA! It is aboit time teachers got a spine. I wish they had one when I was the rep for my school.
