Comey Ordered Investigation Into Giuliani And The Leaky FBI

That attention included James Comey. During his interview Thursday with Rachel Maddow, he discussed Giuliani's huge ego and his participation in the buildup to the announcement that ripped the wind right out of the sails of the HIllary campaign.

Rachel was direct. "Did Rudy Giuliani and therefore the Trump campaign have advanced notice from inside the FBI, from the New York field office or wherever, that this announcement from you was coming?," she asked.

"Not that I know of but I saw that same publicity," Comey replied. "And so I commissioned an investigation to see if we could understand whether people were disclosing information out of the New York office or any other place that resulted in Rudy's report on Fox News and other leaks that we were seeing in the media."

Well, now we're all wondering what became of the investigation, aren't we?

Wanted to protect the FBI and get ahead of the leakers, but asserted his moralistic opinion on what HRC should have done.

Initiated an investigation of Rudy and the leaking, but still fumbled on informing President Obama on the scope of the Russia probe and especially the Steele dossier.

Guess he's a righteous dude, in his own mind.

As I mention on a post below, there is something about Comey that doesn't add up, and I am hoping that he is, although very intelligent, just an idiot who has terrible decision making skills.

1. He should have never done what he did regarding Hillary's emails
2. If he did 1., then he should have also disclosed that trump and co. were being investigated about possible Russian collusion. Why didn't he do it?
3. That he was also investigating Giuliani? Where are the results? Why is it that the guy is still out there? Funny how Giuliani has been very quiet all this time, his big mouth suddenly shut, and is now being re-opened; he must feel he is out of the woods.

I am not sure if he is having a negative impact on the entire discussion. One ex-FBI person has criticized him and said that he is jeopardizing the Muller investigation. I am not sure that his timing with the book is good.

Also, he is trying to save himself from the guff he made a few days before the election, to pretend that his actions did not have negative consequences on the election and that he is not part culpable for trump being president is not so, he is as guilty as the media, his announcement moved the media, and the media has immense power on the USA citizens, lets face it, the majority of USA citizens believe almost everything that comes out on the TV.
