The Journal reported that the subpoena came after an Associated Press story which alleged that Kushner Cos. had filed documents stating it had no rent-controlled tenants, when it actually has hundreds.

(6,254 posts)warrants, witness accounts and grand jury testimony. Discovery in a criminal cases different than in a civil case where either sides can take depositions. Once the State completes its investigation and charges an individual usually by an indictment then the defendant is entitled to discovery. Each State has their own rules of discovery in criminal cases so this info may not apply to every State

(1,202 posts)It appears that their "go-to" response to any question is a knee jerk lying reaction.
From here on out, the DEM knee jerk reaction to any of their statements should be, "prove it".

(118,295 posts)OK, yeah, so he did that too, but this is totally different anyway: in one case, he didn't bother to report his foreign contacts; in the other case, he didn't bother to disclose his rent-controlled properties. Totally different things: rent-control and financial relationships with foreign governments! How could anybody confuse them?
