(2,795 posts)I was at work (I live in Denver Metro area), 6mos pregnant with my first child and the radio was on in my cube when reports were coming in about shots fired at Columbine high school. Then more reports about explosions. Like most people, because this kind of thing never happened before, I thought it was something else being confused with explosions or gunshots. Then of course the true reports
I too remember but I was far away. Must have been terrifying for you.

(2,795 posts)Then the Aurora Theater shooting. One of the girls that worked at the gas station Subway in my tiny little suburban town was shot and killed that night.
For a time there, it seemed Colorado held the title of mass shooting capitol up to 2012. Sadly, there have been far worse that followed.
