....and similarly, people around him also find him far smarter than he actually is.

(7,768 posts)He said it's beyond laughable that Rudy is going to tell Mueller, "Let's wrap this up". Preposterous. What a fool.

(7,398 posts)Sounds to me like he is either supremely arrogant (well, we know that) OR he is also a Mueller/Schneiderman(sp?) target and wants to try and position himself to inhibit the investigation. Probably both.

(1,202 posts)Guiliani throws down the gauntlet.
It becomes a very publicized fact that Guiliani is under investigation.
Trump tweets that the Mueller investigation is so fake and crooked that another witch hunt is now underway to discredit a very good man, just like Flynn......it's all a Mueller coordinated attack against anything, or anyone that is supportive of Trump.
The Trumpsters, believe Trump and add this info to their quagmire of falsely fed info.

(5,810 posts)Giuliani fancies himself some kind of tough guy. Wish I could be a fly on the wall when he negotiates with Mueller.

(15,751 posts)May be that Ghouli left cushy major law firm 'sinecure', because he is concerned of his own very significant potential Mueller problems.
Fox News tapes of Ghouli's nasty/bragging/ [and culpable] pre-election comments are all over cable news last night and today.
Ghouli most probably recognized he could better defend Trump, and Ghouli, from inside the White House. And, if Trump survives, Ghouli in a better position for - a possible pardon.
If Trump fails, Ghouli, just may realize that he is in a better position, [warning this is 'dastardly'], . . . that Ghouli is in a stronger bargaining position, to help Ghouli, by . . . FLIPPING!!!
[But Ghouli is dastardly]
