1) zealous advocate for his client so she can promote herself?
2) zealous advocate for his client so she can get some kind of revenge on #fakepresident?
3) zealous advocate for client who is trying to take down #fakepresiddnt for the good of our nation?
4) brilliant self promoter?
5) patriot who is trying to take down #fakepresident for the good of our nation? Or,
6) just a plain old attorney doing his job and getting paid by the hour?
Either way it's working for me, but I'm not his client and I'm not paying him.

It's what keeps his adrenaline up. He just enjoys it.

(11,746 posts)I'd like to believe that. He's well on his way to proving it to me.

(115,732 posts)But I can't argue with the way he's handling this.

(11,746 posts)He seems to have been instrumental in Cohen's impending unraveling and notice how no one is saying that Cohen can't bring #fakepresident down.

(62,444 posts)The Cohen search was predicated on an investigation that long preceded the Daniels suit.

(15,805 posts)He's clearly an ambitious man, and his star is on the rise. I'm curious about what he will do in his next chapter as his goals are ticked off.

#1 is probably a close second. The shelf life of porn stars can be kind of short, time wounds all heels. This has boosted her "star appeal" lately, getting her a lot of good pub.
There might be some patriotism in there, but I'm more than a little cynical about that. I suspect it is kind of low on the list.

(11,746 posts)I wouldn't say I was cynical. My OP was about Avenatti and there is absolutely nothing illegal, amoral, or unethical about representing his client zealously. Quite the contrary.
I had not, until you shined a light on it, fully appreciated how sleazy this is. I mean on its face it is quite sleazy but the underlying motive of furthering her career and the rank stupidity of #fakepresident, not to mention his sleaze, is just breathtaking.

(3,515 posts)That's my bet.
He likes "discovering" the truth, getting at the facts. It's just a challenge and fun for him -- like playing chess or monopoly or racing a car.
He likes to compete.
That's my guess.
