A suggestion for how we present ourselves and our party...Please.

I am NOT picking on anyone here who does this because I myself am guilty of it.

Every time we make statements like:

"Democrats do X, FINALLY!"

"Democrats do Y, about time!"

those, or the big one "I will hold my nose and vote for X", every time we do this we DISSUADE new voters from voting at all or for our party.

You are at a dinner party (what do the younguns call those these days? ) and you hear this stuff or you say this stuff and sure as donald rump is a traitor, someone will hear it and wonder why bother voting at all!

How would you propose that Democrats talk about the Party?

I generally say that I vote for the best candidate running. As it happens, that best candidate has always been a Democrat, but in theory there could be a good Republican running for an office. It simply has not happened in the 46 years that I have been voting.

To say one of the above comments as a preface is often times a STRATEGIC comment.
It implicitly concedes REALITY and exposes thought.

Different conversations with different people require different strategies.

---or you can just overgeneralize and declare your party the bestest and most perfect party at all times, and be completely unconvincing in the process. An undecided or Repub/Indy will almost immediately conclude you are drinking kool-aide. Smile and nod at you, then summarily discount anything you've said.

my position.

IT is so simple, the country will end in a violent catastrophic melee if everybody does not vote for not just a democrat but the one most likely to win their individual election

for instance this could mean voting for Joe Manchin, why, basic FIRST GRADE MATH!
