Some things I have "learned" from a freind in the closed information loop

of Fox News veiwers.

Since renewable energy isnt working we need to stop trying and focus on fossil fuels (I told him that Texas cities like Georgetown and Denton were already at or close to 100 percent renewable. He looked puzzled.)

California is in a deep recession due to taxes and federal regulations. (I showed him where US News and World report ranked CA #1 for friendly business environment. He said he didn't believe the liberal media)

the foolishness from the rube bubble lately that California is some sort of failing state. I've been getting that a lot lately since Dump lashed out about sanctuary cities, Governor Brown, et al. I send them all kinds of info that completely debunks their stupidity, including the one showing how much California spends in federal dollars vs. what they receive, some graphs on the economy, our surplus, etc.

Of course, the morons simply dismiss this as LIBRUL media FAKE NEWS!

To which I simply respond, "OK. Don't ever come here then and please don't live here." We usually agree on that.

California is thriving. I think it's fine that the residents of Dumfuckistan think otherwise.

CA is home to some of the largest corporations in the world, Facebook, Disney, Apple, Google, etc. If the state was bad, why are these corporations there instead of the tax free haven of Oklahoma.

Ann Richards did a lot to attract movie production to Texas. W may have continued it somewhat. I doubt Perry or Abbott did.

Most of London is under Sharia law
Europe will become Muslim-majority within twenty years
Muslims were responsible for starting over a thousand wars throughout history
Over one third of Muslims worldwide support terrorism
The "regressive left" (whatever the hell THAT means) is too afraid to stand up for human rights in Muslim countries
Speaking of human rights in Muslim nations, Assad is a bloodthirsty tyrant, but he's "secular," so that makes his human rights violations OK
Only Vladimir Putin is brave enough to stand up to the Muslim threat

economy in the world?

None of it matters. Without professional deprogramming and a stint at a reeducation camp, Fox viewers are trapped in a cult by their own choice. They are safely cradled and fed a nonstop pablum of sweet lies and spicy conspiracy theories. My whole damn family was turned, and they are lost to me, so far gone that I can't find any trace the people I once knew.

Whatever info you have, save your own sanity and just toss it away. They will recite wonderful sounding prose, it's like Haiku Poetry, about why Fox News is the only credible source of information for them. To amuse myself at family gatherings I've adopted a knowing Mona Lisa smile. Sometimes I titter quietly as if to an insider joke when they wax on the heavy propaganda. I like to make those annoying little sotto voce criticisms to all my imaginary friends, pretending that I said nothing while high fiving the the air beside me. It drives 'em crazy!

they are gone.

What HAS to happen, however, is that the GOP has to be called for the freak show it is.

We are where we are at now, because for well over a quarter century they have negatively cast "liberals." We have to get past our meak ways and flat out call the GOP/Republicans for the brainwashsed loons they are, because we have to get the middle to accept accept that and start to view them like they SHOULD they way they view "liberals" because we always get negatively cast.

Our 1/3 needs to stay engaged nonstop and we have to move the "middle" 1/3 to see republicans as the loons they are.
