I send them all kinds of info that completely debunks their stupidity, including the one showing how much California spends in federal dollars vs. what they receive, some graphs on the economy, our surplus, etc.

CA is home to some of the largest corporations in the world, Facebook, Disney, Apple, Google, etc. If the state was bad, why are these corporations there instead of the tax free haven of Oklahoma.

I like to make those annoying little sotto voce criticisms to all my imaginary friends, pretending that I said nothing while high fiving the the air beside me. It drives 'em crazy!
