I'm surprised it hasn't already happened.

Given the high bar for probable cause to conduct the search in the first place, if an indictment did not follow practically immediately, then that would certainly call into question the basis of the search.

I just remember how Manafort and Gates went down. The Friday before it was pretty much out that there would be imminent indictments the next week. And Monday, like clockwork--BAM! With the Papadapolous bonus at the end.

I think Manafort and Gates' attorneys had advance notice to get their affairs in order over the weekend. That's why I wonder if we could see anything as soon as Monday morning. (Although I'm reading some claiming it will be anywhere in the next 90 days, so...)

Anytime the opening credits are running and at the same time you are being handed the memos that were just leaked and you are facing the person who wrote them, the bar has been set pretty high for breaking news. I thought Rachel handled it admirably, weaving in the newly released memos with her planned questions about Comey's book and testimony. She is always congratulating other reporters on their scoops -- this time she was the one in the scoop seat. She had an opportunity fall in her lap and she ran with it.
