OK! Tin foil hats, please! Guiliani is in the wings because Sessions

threatens to quit if Rosenstein is fired. Trumps fires the assistant AG and Guiliani slinks into the AG position and shuts down Mueller in a few weeks like he promised. This is waht they are plotting. What say you?

...and I suspect the chance of at least a couple of vulnerable Republicans breaking ranks is pretty high, especially if they have to go into November as "the Senator who allowed Trump to obstruct justice."

And I can't imagine Guilani wanting to go through that process.

More likely Trump is keeping Pruitt around so he can slide him in (who apparently could be placed there temporarily as AG because he was already approved by the Senate).

Suggesting he be Trump's personal lawyer would make it less likely he be approved to be Attorney General.

Giuliani was very public about his agreement that Sessions was correct to recuse himself. Giuliani has also denied being a possible repacement for Sessions. So hope that does not change.
