Even Queen Elizabeth, a connoisseur of fashionable hats, doesn't wear them inside of buildings, other than a church.

Fashion hats (not ball caps) may be worn indoors, when the anthem is played, during a parade march, and during religious services. Not to be worn when working indoors, or when blocking someone's view. This includes ribbons, bows, feathers, flowers or other light-weight ornamentation.

Hats traditionally thought of as “women’s hats,” with ribbons, bows, feathers, flowers, or other ornamentation, or in delicate colors and materials, including the small hats worn on the front of the head and known as fascinators, may be kept on indoors for all occasions, except when you’re wearing a large hat at the movies, the theater, or any other kind of performance event. In this case, remove it and place it on your lap so that people behind you can see the stage.

It is perfectly appropriate for women to wear hats indoors before 6 p.m., whether in church or not.

And the Queen frequently wears hats indoors, and not just in church.

The hat Melania is wearing looks really big. Really, really big.

Well, not really - all of her hats aren't big, but she loves big hats and I've come to love them, too.

Many, many things I don't like about Melania, but I am not mad at her hat game today. If she keeps it up, she might actually get on my good side ... Ok, not really with that, either. But, you know.

Several times in parades and on the balcony at Buckingham Palace, but twice I was within just a few feet. What struck me, both times (other than her beautiful attire and ALWAYS a spectacular broach) was that she has the bluest eyes, warmest smile, and most perfect complexion I've ever seen. Calling it porcelain doesn't do it justice.

She's been at this job for 65 years but she still seems to enjoy being out and about, smiling, waving and chatting with the crowds.

I think Melania's hat was a disastrous attempt at scene stealing.

I'm surprised Melania isn't the person interpreting while Macron is speaking in French. After all she speaks 5 or 6 languages according to trump and the White House.

No pictures have ever turned up from those well-photographed shows in Milan, Paris, and London that supposedly filled several years in her career history. I did find some when she was a child working for her mother.
The modeling pictures I do find of her as an adult were after she was signed by Trump and his modeling agency.

So she's in her glory now being a world famous figure as the so called FLOTUS. She puts on a fashion show everyday. That's why she would never leave trump, she loves the position she's in.

When you greet someone at the entrancement to your home. Who knew?

Actually I think she looks quiet silly, she is the only one wearing a hat except the marine guards. The only thing I can think of is she's wearing it because the visiting guests are french and she wants to show off her coutere side.
