It was reported earlier on MSNBC that Mueller wanted to search Manaforts documents, etc, for evidence about the meeting in Trump Tower with the Russians, Manafort, Don Jr, and Jared Kushner. Manafort had reportedly taken notes during the meeting. Do you think Mueller would have any other evidence of "collusion"? Also, Manafort has gone to Court to prevent some documents from being considered evidence in this investigation? What's that about?

(31,121 posts)there would be enough evidence at this point for collusion, obstruction of justice and maybe treason.
Among other things like money laundering etc.

At that point Manafort, who was already up, "ran into the FBI in his hallway". This sounds like he is trying to split hairs to get out of trouble. OK, good luck with that traitor!

(12,344 posts)There are multiple suspicious interactions between many Trump campaign officials and Russian intelligence. Like that Trump Tower meeting, these contacts may be documented in notes, emails, travel records and electronic intelligence. I think Mueller has a lot of that evidence already, enough to get a search warrant at least, and he wanted to see what he could add to his collection. Manafort wants to suppress that evidence the way a drug dealer wants to suppress the 50 pounds of cocaine police found in his house.
