a COMPETENT Trump would be far worse. Pence comes closest to that because he is, of course, literally closest.

How's this for a dream that could conceivably come true, even if not likely, if Pence went down with Trump: President Nancy Pelosi. Yes, I know some don't like powerful women, but if it happened it'd mean we had a majority in the house, and very possibly the senate. She's tremendously competent, and we could get to making our big 2016 agenda, and more, reality.

The thought of President Pence keeps me up at night.

Trump is an embarrassment and his staff is so busy either picking their noses or everyone's pockets there's not much time to create real mayhem.

Pence would be taken seriously and has a belief the Republican Party was created by God to wipe everyone off the face of the planet who is not a member of his church or Jewish.

The mayhem he is causing runs deep. From gutting departments to the tax scam. Look at the EPA and what has happened. Trade wars coupled with a hair brained foreign policy.

The guy is having a huge impact.

The clout they would lose with Trump either being impeached or stepping down would be huge. Then off to elections with a Republican Party in tatters.

right now as that poster shows, there are too many who know nothing about what is actually being done. yes, trump sucks and is an embarrassment but he has put people in place like pruitt and devos who are doing the work of destroying the country .

I detest every possible stance he has, but he isn’t as inept as Trump is.

If Trump got impeached after the midterms, I doubt the American electorate would keep a whackjob evangelical around, provided we can put up a decent candidate

Trump is in it for himself; Pence is in it to prepare the way for the second coming of an angry and vengeful God. Also, he could work better with the Republicans in Congress to do more long-term damage.
