As a Bernie supporter who voted Clinton, I have had many out spoken "Clinton Supporters" attack me, call me a Republican, claim I was working with the Russians, you name it, they said it.

Now I try to be objective, and because I know Clinton did not advocate for that behavior, and that it mostly aided the right, the reasonable answer was I was being attacked by right wingers posing as Clinton supporters.

Why is it that so many cannot do the same for Bernie supporters?

Seriously why is it that Bernie supporters constantly get blamed for what the right does?

I am sure some Bernie supporters are doing this, just like some of the people who were doing it to me are in fact Clinton supporters.

But let us stop the infighting and blame game, and be objective for five minutes, yeah?


Every time someone attacks Bernie, or his supporters, which is now against the rules here, the right wins and we push Bernie supporters further away from our side, now who would gain the most from this? The Right, so why would people here push that agenda?

Unless this latest foray is supposed to distract from the other two, I fail to see who garners any benefit from attacking both sides of the aisle, so to speak.

Look, here's the thing. Ten years ago, we had not yet reached the tipping point around acceptance of GLBTQ people. I can remember the big 'word' when I was a kid clear back in the late 60sand early 70s was 'gross.'

Later, during the late 1990s and 00s, when my son was growing up, the big 'word' for kids to use was 'gay.'

I know you've all heard people say that.

Oh, not now. But go back ten years and you would have heard that.

That's the key. Not now. If people are saying it NOW, then it is unacceptable, but if somebody said it ten years ago, but no longer says it now, then maybe we should forget about it, eh?

Based on her long experience with Joy Reid, Joan Walsh does not believe the reports on Reid's alleged homophobic remarks
