Ronny Jackson Withdraws VA Nomination

Donald Trump’s pick to head up the Department of Veterans Affairs has withdrawn himself from consideration after becoming the subject of a string of allegations of professional misconduct. Ronny Jackson, the White House physician, stood accused of misconduct, including being drunk on the job and over-prescribing painkillers. On Wednesday, it was alleged that he once crashed a government vehicle after getting drunk. Announcing his withdrawal Thursday morning, Jackson attacked “baseless and anonymous attacks on my character and integrity,” and said the allegations against him were “completely false and fabricated.” Jackson added that he had become a “distraction” for the president and was therefore “regretfully withdrawing” his nomination for VA secretary.

for the VA job. I hope the allegations are investigated and proved or disproved, but regardless, he wasn't qualified. Maybe the fact that he'd even accepted the nomination for it proves his judgment isn't good enough for him to have realized that.

don't blame it on false accusations.

ETA.. yes, he, like all of the other trump nominees, is not qualified for the job.
