I was born in NC, have always lived in NC, and am fortunate to be able to call Alamance County home. I live in a 100 year old farmhouse with my husband, daughters, 3 goats, 30 chickens, 3 dogs, and 3 cats.

I am the Firm Manager for The Paynter Law Firm and teach at Guilford College and Meredith College. I am an MBA candidate at ECU and have a Master's of Music from Appalachian State, a paralegal certificate from Meredith, and a B.S. in Piano from Campbell University.

As a law firm manager, I am responsible for the firm's budget, strategic planning, human resources, and IT/IS needs. I have also owned and operated my own small businesses and was previously Associate Director of a non-profit conservatory of music for kids. I am familiar with business and financial operations and understand the needs of small and family-owned businesses. Additionally, as an educator, I understand and share the passion of our teachers and strongly believe in the need for access to quality, affordable education and job skills training.
