(19,204 posts)Spot on assessment of why members of Congress remain mum on the subject. The Republican members of Congress are so afraid of incurring the wrath of "president" Le Grand Orange and his twitter attacks, they don't dare talk truth to power. Cowards, all.

(19,566 posts)A lot of Democratic Representatives have spoken out time and time again, but they get less press because their dissent is commonplace and expected. Read: Boring/normal.
The POTUS and a porn star?! Now that's sensational enough to warrant media attention! Add the seasoning of Avenatti's skill at drama and suddenly the media's literally his puppet.
I get it, and I'm not complaining since it facilitates an end I support.

(58,698 posts)perhaps not quite as crooked, but he's a showboat and grandstander, just like Trump. He just manages to keep breaking the law.

(32,611 posts)Rudy's statements on Hannity. Avenatti was stunned at the stupid things Rudy admitted to and was not his usual self. Looks like he has gotten it together.
Avenatti will be on Colbert tonight. Can't wait.

This is a quite a lengthy and extraordinary interview with several other guests, among them Willy Geist, who said some very real but damning things re: the men who do trump's bidding and propagate the lies and fake news.

Just one more blatant lie to go with the thousands of others.
Sure we should be outraged but the outrage ship sailed away months ago.

(7,968 posts)He changed the story as per plan because they knew it was coming out anyway.
Better that he say it and immediately give the "It's NOT illegal" defense than have it come out later when the court, or Avenatti says it.
This is Law School 101 stuff.
