Sadly, having Cohen as a grad, just made the school's reputation even worse...nm S.E. TN Liberal May 2018 #2

one in NC was forced to close quite recently due to how bad it is. There is another in California that is notorious but clearly his law school is bad.

about Michael Cohen but the shot at his law school (Thomas Cooley, Lansing Michigan) is really a low one. Cooley was founded by a former Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court in order to provide access to a legal education for non-traditional students - adults, evening learners, second careers, etc. It is and has been fully accredited and its degrees are recognized by all 50 State bars. It has an enviable "first time" pass rate for the Michigan Bar amd Michigan State University invited Cooley to become the MSU School of Law but this overture was rejected. While gaining admission may be easier than at top tier schools getting a degree isn't. There is a very high attrition rate among first year students who rapidly discover that the legal career isn't for them. It has always counted on a very high quality faculty (not adjuncts) who included another former Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court and the authors of the definitive textbooks on the measure of damages and Evidence. Hundreds of Cooley graduates are following successful careers in all branches of the law all over the country. They - and I - would beg to differ with this very unfair characterization.
