Have the people at FOX News begun to see the truth?

Shep Smith has not hesitated to criticize Trump from the beginning. Neil Cavuto has also been critical of him from time to time.

Cavuto turned up the heat on him today. He was critical of Trump's conflicting and false statements. He said, '‘That’s your stink. Mr. President, that’s your swamp." https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2018/05/04/foxs-cavuto-to-trump-thats-your-stink-mr-president-thats-your-swamp/?utm_term=.c01be7da4747

Some seemed a little shocked when Sean Hannity's name appeared a week or so ago as a client of Michael Cohen, Trump's lawyer. Things did not seem the way they were being presented on their network??

Perhaps we are getting to the point where some of these propagandists are looking in the mirror? Some may not be as pleased with what they see, as some may think? They do not see this Trump presidency ending well.

This would be one of the best things that could happen to our country. They are in a position to save us from this disastrous crisis we are about to encounter. The irony that FOX News could be the people to save this country.

Never say never.

since he's one of Cohen's clients. Many are altar boys or choir girls singing from the same hymn book but didn't know there was a rogue cardinal who is that close to the heretic pope.

They will always fall back in line much sooner than later.
This is just temporary until they get new talking points.

2 newscasters at Fox News tell the truth and everyone, at least on TV anyway, thinks that station has turned over
a new leaf. Shepard Smith has always exhibited a small bit of Independence and I know nothing about Neil Cavuto nor do I care. It's still a propaganda channel and always will be.

What I’m thinking is that, if they do turn on Trump, they’re planning to embrace Pence. They may feel that Pence will be more acceptable to the people who think Trump has gone too far. Pence may be even worse than Trump for progressives and Democrats. Republicans may feel that having Pence as President rather than Trump may encourage more people to vote Republican in the midterms.

The Fox News people will NEVER be the people to save this country. The network is still owned and operated by the 1%.

But it was in their political interest to argue against it, distort it, and/or simply ignore it.

But that was then - and this is now. I believe the GOP have hit the tipping point where they know Trump's presidency can't possibly be salvaged, and the erosion of their "brand" is rapidly accelerating.

Trump is baggage they really don't want to be dragging into the 2020 GE - and preparations for that election will be underway the minute the November midterms are over.

Given its audience, FOX is the obvious vehicle to start "softening up" their base in anticipation of Trump's downfall - which they know is now inevitable.

It's time to man the lifeboats, and row as far away as possible from the sinking ship.

to tell their audience the truth is that, for the first time in years, there just may be a price to pay for mendacity.

"... I believe the GOP have hit the tipping point where they know Trump's presidency can't possibly be salvaged..."

I'm going to keep my eye on their other hosts. I believe many of them were shocked with the Sean Hannity and Michael Cohen story from a couple of weeks ago. Every one that sees the light and is willing to criticize Trump is a plus for the Democratic hopes in November.
