White House official admits Trump killed Iran deal so he could watch 'experts freaking out on CNN'Travis Gettys 09 MAY 2018 AT 06:43 ET
President Donald Trump has long wanted to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal brokered by the Obama administration, and thats what he did after driving naysayers out of the White House.
A source who spent time with the president Tuesday said he was in high spirits after announcing the withdrawal, which had been opposed by former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and former national security adviser H.R. McMaster, reported Axios.
Hes going big, with what he believes, and confident in it all, a White House official told the website. POTUS ran against experts the eggheads and believes that rebalancing our policies on trade, defense spending, security, etc., simply makes sense.
(Trump) likes it when experts are on CNN freaking out, the White House official explained.

I hope that congress changes their minds about impeachment. Pence would NOT be worse than this maniac.

(47,586 posts)security, etc., simply makes sense. But he really doesn't "believe" anything. He is reactive and cause chaos because he can. There is no real agenda or policy, except destruction. Like a toddler, he enjoys knocking the blocks down, because he can't really build anything, but he can get attention.

(58,785 posts)than Trump. Large numbers of strong conservatives believe Iran is evil and intends to destroy us, so we must destroy it first. Not just neocon militants and hateful social conservatives, but many millions in the religious right who think Satan's operating out of Iran and Russia and are expecting the Final Battle any day. And of course, there're large overlaps of all those groups.
These people today are just the same old John Bircher types who gave themselves such a bad name that they had to ditch it. Think John Bolton. In all eras they passionately believe in attacking enemies (and always believe in at least one imminent existential threat) and are appalled by the weakness of treating with enemies, always sure they're fatal mistakes that will lead to our destruction. These types even marched against every nuclear test ban and stepdown treaty. Today, it's the Iran nuclear agreement.
Add to these dangerous nuts, and Trump has plenty in common with them, Trump's own long-time enmity against Obama and determination to erase his legacy, and chortling at the media reaction to his exercise of power is just a cherry on top.
