For 8 Years, the Southern Baptists supported a boycott of Disney

1997 to 2005. Why? Disney extended health insurance to same sex partners of employees.

And now, these very same yahoos are claiming that a boycott of Chick-Fil-A is anti free speech?

There is no moral equivalence here. The religious right boycotts to support hate and inequality. Those who support civil rights boycott to fight hate.

And I have no doubt where these pathetic bigots who lined up to support C-F-A would have been in 1960.

History is not going to be kind.

Protesting against their hate is bigotry. They are apparently unable to understand that standing up to hatred is a good thing to do.

The CFA debacle is another example of a Christian coming to grief with the OT because the NT seems too goody two-shoes. No Christian should ever be allowed near the OT. Addles their wits.

That's exactly what demonizing a whole group produces. This overblown sense of superiority in the eyes of Gawd would not earn the Cheezus seal of approval-- did not he say something akin to "let the sinless throw the first stone?"
Yes the Chick has actively engaged in far more discriminatory activity than just speech, in the form of donations to uber right wing factions, interviewing practices that exclude those "not of the faith", of young folks fired (on drummed-up infractions) but well known for suspected gay activity... (C.C. Texas guys... speak up... now's the time)

He pretended to be a right-wing radio talk show host and strung this guy along from the Christian Action Network.

"The first lunch counter sit-in took place on February 1st, 1960 at a Woolworth's store in Greensboro, North Carolina. On that day four black college students sat down at the "white's only" counter. They encountered verbal and physical violence. Ketchup, soda, salt and other things were poured over their heads. Today an eight foot section of that lunch counter is on permanent display at the Smithsonian museum."

It's not going to look good for them in just 2 years either.
Boycotts work when the people agree to make them work.
Chick-Fil-A can kiss my ass, to quote a Romney aide.
