A theory... is this too crazy?

It's been revealed that Michael Cohen was receiving lots of money for quiet access to Trump. Corporations like AT&T and Novartis made significant monthly payments to Cohen as a conduit for their lobbying efforts. It will most likely be discovered that those companies weren't the only ones paying Cohen.

Here's my (probably stupid) idea. We know that Trump hates it when other people make money off of him. What if Cohen was slipping part of the payments to Trump? Isn't that something that Trump would have expected in his pre-political life?

Crazy, right? The idea that the president would be profiting from access to him is ludicrous, isn't it?

Of course that's what he was doing. Didn't Cohen set up the LLC in Oct 2016? Right before the election? Cohen was also (or still is?) a RNC fundraiser? Trump probably didn't give him an appointment because he's the money man and wanted to keep him at least at arms length from the WH, but yet he got a spot at the RNC, which probably didn't happen without Trump's insistance.

And wouldn't surprise me a bit. In fact, I kind of assume that DT was receiving most of it, with a cut going to Cohen as a fee. It wouldn't have gone directly to Trump, but to one of his own shell companies. Or Ivanka and Jared. Or some other bizarre arrangement that's going to blow our minds when revealed.

Russian oligarch money to people like McTurtle, the zombie eyed granny starver, and a host of other republicans who seem to be complicit in the Russian takeover of our country.

That'd be an insane hypothesis, right?

To your OP, of course the grifters with a history of grifting were continuing to grift. After all this is the same guy who rents golf carts to the Secret Service at his properties for thousands of dollars.

Pay for play, most of the money going to the idiot republican president. And soon we'll uncover the laundering routes.

And how much tribute money he would expect out of each.

Not crazy at all.

7. We *already* know that Donnie personally benefitted

Because we know that that llc paid Donnie's personal hush money expenses.

The money doesn't have to hit Donnie's personal checking account to prove it was bribery.
