... he has evolved over the years to become a very treacherous campaigner. And he is VERY tuned into what motivates voters. He and his minions spend A LOT of time and resources on defining and predicting voter behavior and public perception. He's also not averse to cheating.

ie, accusing Obama of whatever Mitt or the Republicans themselves are doing.

All that's in the news about Romney are his gaffes.
Everybody knows this.
Obama has almost none, if any.
Most everybody knows this, too.

Rove accuses Obama of making gaffes.
It's absurdly obvious what he's trying to do.
I think even a moran could see through this brilliant technique.

Next thing they will CGI Obama to show him dealing drugs out of the White House and kicking poor little white orphans. Why even bother with slicing and dicing tape when you can make it up from whole cloth?
