Like most people, I have some friends, relatives, coworkers who voted for Trump. I know they voted for Trump because I ask everyone I know if they voted for Trump. For the first time in my life I now judge people by who they voted for. The reason is clear, people who voted for Trump showed dangerously bad judgement.
I have told them, I had to listen to your bullshit for years. When Trump goes down I am going to make your lives hell. I will remind you every day how fucking stupid you are, how bad your judgement is. I told them I will do it for the rest of their lives. I will never let them forget.
Knowing Trump voters they will hide from me after Trump goes down. Thats fine by me.

(4,015 posts)While I can easily relate your anger and bitterness toward those who enabled Trump and the horrible things he has and continues to do, I'd personally encourage you to take a different approach with people you know.

Try to find a higher mission. There is no path forward when you are walking with hate and anger.
Best of luck.

(3,105 posts)people that fall for racism and fear mongering are usually very racist and fearful. Life's way too short to have those people around me. Sure, I will be polite and respectful in personal dealings, but no way do I want anymore to do with them. Just remember, there are more of us than them <3
