The Worst, Most Thuggish Trump Official Just Had Reporters Violently Ejected From a Government Forum

By JEREMY STAHL MAY 22, 201811:54 AM

After months of unceasing scandal, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt, before Tuesday, could have been fairly described as the worst, most corrupt member of President Donald Trump’s Cabinet. Now he can claim a new title: most thuggish member of Trump’s cabinet.

The EPA banned reporters from AP, CNN, and environmental-focused news organization E&E from attending a national summit on harmful water contaminants on Tuesday, violently ejecting a reporter from the Associated Press.

From the AP report:

Guards barred an AP reporter from passing through a security checkpoint inside the building. When the reporter asked to speak to an EPA public-affairs person, the security guards grabbed the reporter by the shoulders and shoved her forcibly out of the EPA building.

It’s unclear at this time why Pruitt’s government-sponsored goons went after these specific news organizations, but it might have something to do with their coverage of his bald-faced public corruption and his near-daily assaults on the environmental safety he was sworn to protect.

The Republican Party is financed by fascist oligarchs who are intent on establishing an authoritarian government that mimics those of Russia and China. Our freedoms are in deep jeopardy of being sacrificed. Good luck kids. While your parents slept they stole your inheritance for a good life.

I am not being facetious. It seems to me that they are pushing the envelope to the point of breaking. Are they counting on their gun nut base to do the dirty work much like Hitler's Brown Shit thugs who they will get rid off after they have done the dirty work. I am convinced that these thugs who have taken over the government will stop at nothing to succeed.

Just because we have all the marksmen and women on our side doesn't mean we should take the bait.

the US gov. is just fine and will return to normal. That IMO is a major problem in the US, a lackadaisical populace when it comes to politics and trying to understand what is really going on.

And if anyone questions the fact that the GOP are outright fascists, this outrageous incidence should erase all doubt!

They think as long as we don't cross that line, we're still a democracy -- but there is no line. Governments exist on a continuous spectrum. It's possible to slide down the spectrum just a tiny bit at a time without triggering anyone's alarms -- until one day, ICE is loading brown-skinned people onto boxcars at bayonet point who will then never be seen again.

He and his party have assaulted the rule of law and the constitution continuously.

For the most part the media has covered up for them. Maybe now that Trump's goon squads are coming after them the will start covering these fascist bastards as a threat to democracy!

Pruitt relishes being hated by his opposition. I only wish his imaginary skyperson was real so he would burn in hell for eternity.
