Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.) praised WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in an interview published on Wednesday, calling him honorable.
"He's a very honorable man," Rohrabacher told CNN.
The California congressman visited Assange at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London last August to discuss the 2016 hacking of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), which Assange has said he believes was an "inside job."
After his meeting with Assange, Rohrabacher said there was not evidence to suggest hack of the DNC was spearheaded by the Kremlin.

A month before Donald Trump clinched the Republican nomination, one of his closest allies in Congress House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy made a politically explosive assertion in a private conversation on Capitol Hill with his fellow GOP leaders: that Trump could be the beneficiary of payments from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Theres two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump, McCarthy (R-Calif.) said, according to a recording of the June 15, 2016, exchange, which was listened to and verified by The Washington Post. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher is a Californian Republican known in Congress as a fervent defender of Putin and Russia.
House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) immediately interjected, stopping the conversation from further exploring McCarthys assertion, and swore the Republicans present to secrecy.

"And [Assange said] that 'I have physical proof that I would be very happy to provide once I can leave the Ecuadorian embassy without being arrested.' "
So, Assange has proof that Wikileaks is NOT a russian stooge.
And he refuses to show that proof until he gets an assurance that the US has no interest in arresting him.

I read an article, posted here I think, by someone who hung with an Assange group, claims to have been all in and supposedly after months of soaking in their groupthink wised up to their intense dishonesty. Meanness and nastiness too. Big surprise.
