Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump's campaign team has run more than 4,000 ads on the President's personal Facebook page since May 7, newly available data from Facebook shows.
Between May 7 and May 24, more than 4,400 ads were run on the Donald J. Trump Facebook page, according to the data. The page has more than 24 million followers. The ads were paid for by the Trump Make America Great Again Committee and Donald J. Trump for President Inc., according to Facebook.
CNN obtained the data through a new ad tracking tool Facebook launched Thursday, which allows users to see political ads run on the platform in the United States.
Almost 300 ads run by the President's page mentioned "fake news," 177 mentioned the Second Amendment and 59 mentioned top Democrats Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York and Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California.

(13,305 posts)..in large numbers. I love social media and the connectivity it gives me. But I deleted facebook right after Zuckerberg's testimony and have not looked back.
Same thing with the NFL. We all need to start making our numbers felt where it counts and the only place it matters to these people: Their wallets and their stock portfolios.

(6,377 posts)The NFL has a finite amount of viewers and a limited interest group (People in the United States). The right wing boycott of the NFL last season legit hurt their ratings.
Facebook, as of right now, is invincible. They're a worldwide power, and after the Cambridge Analytica stuff came out, their usage actually increased. If that scandal didn't bring them down, nothing is going to.

(13,305 posts)....but it can be done.
But like most stuff (including the NFL) I'm actually very cynical. People like their convenience. They like their distractions. They like their recreational tribalism and identification that sports provides.
All of this is largely why we are in this mess we are in because the powers that be have succeeded so beyond anyone's wildest dreams at creating a numb, mindless society that puts their own fleeting convenience and entertainment above everything else, no matter how dire or important.

Dont complain when nothing changes in November.
Dump FB and the MSM. Get direct and face to face.
