(7,506 posts)Congressmen and Senators should be paid based on a multiple of the average income in their districts. Maybe 2 or 2 and a half times. That way they would strive for the betterment of their legal constituents. Not their actual ones.

(9,833 posts)insurance plan. I started to say $30,000 per year, but decided $50,000 would be a bit more realistic since they will have to pay for their own travel to/from DC to represent their district.
