Seeing it clearly for what it currently is makes me furious and soul-sad and much ashamed.

The person that tweeted the link to this article tied to to drumpf which implied that it was new. Very misleading. I'm going to inform the tweeter that I don't appreciate being mislead in that manner.

The crisis is real but we don't need people muddying the waters of the issue by passing off old material as current.

I've been trying to see if there were any posts about that article and those photos from 2014.

to demoralize an unwanted population, which the U.S. government has been doing ever since it existed. This policy is baked into what our country is.

Notice the caption on photo 5. "Two young girls watch a World Cup soccer match at the detention facility." The last World Cup was in 2014.
