I am watching it on the Weather Channel now. Two more inches coming in another band soon. July 2016 was the last time this happened. 6 inches in a few hours and it isn't over. Yikes!

This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND POTENTIALLY CATASTROPHIC situation and you must move to HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY AND STAY AWAY FROM ANYWHERE WHERE WATER IS MOVING, the National Weather Service tweeted.

(45,462 posts)since this keeps happening every few years in that town going back centuries.
And maybe international media will share this story around the world to show them the greatness of America.
And maybe Republicans will blame this on Democratic local government, except the governor has been Republican for the last 4 years.
And then in 2020, we'll unfortunately see this again. I was shocked when I saw this in 2012, but not when it happened again in 2016, and then read that it always happens. Ellicott City is prone to flooding.

(12 posts)Man I dont think Ive ever seen that much rain in such a short amount of time. Remember back in 1973 hurricane Agnas hit EC hard and a few people were killed but that was over three days of rain and the river crested but this is just horrific
