as if the founders of our country would have ever intended for a president to pardon his guilty self. That's sort of the point of breaking away from a monarchy. There's no way he doesn't get impeached and removed from office in that case.

The Founding Fathers had enough faith in the people that perhaps it never occurred to them that someone so damn evil could ever actually be elected president and if so would be not only allowed but honored by their party for such gross abuse of the presidency. Well, folks, sadly, they were wrong.
