(12,586 posts)By implication, Trump is saying that only Republicans can investigate him, and if he doesn't like the results he'll pardon himself, even though he's innocent. Have I missed anything?

(45,460 posts)as if the founders of our country would have ever intended for a president to pardon his guilty self. That's sort of the point of breaking away from a monarchy. There's no way he doesn't get impeached and removed from office in that case.

(8,200 posts)The Founding Fathers had enough faith in the people that perhaps it never occurred to them that someone so damn evil could ever actually be elected president and if so would be not only allowed but honored by their party for such gross abuse of the presidency. Well, folks, sadly, they were wrong. We now have presiding in the White House a con man, liar, sexual predator, woman abuser and absolute moral degenerate without a shred of conscience as our dear leader.
