the woman is (usually) dressed in a skimpy, sleeveless, outfit, the man in a three piece suit. I've wondered for awhile if one is freezing, while the other is sweating from heat, or visa verse. How do the networks make this situation comfortable for both pundits?

Could it be for similar reasons?

(30,481 posts)It's my understanding that studio lighting can generate a good amount of heat. Heat makes people perspire. I'm pretty sure they keep it cold.
The clothes are for selling of the product. Not comfort.

(2,116 posts)at least in certain markets. unfortunately, most people who want to be public personas will do whatever it takes, so these women apparently don't question the double standard, one which i think makes them look like wanna-be porn stars.

(32,886 posts)The buildings are a warm temperature already most of the time and then you have all of those lights on top of you and its hot. Women in sleeveless dresses probably feel perfect. Us men in suits? Not so much.
