Help me out here re: Trump claiming it was the Democrats who colluded with Russia.

Last edited Mon Jun 4, 2018, 01:41 PM - Edit history (1)

Is he referring to the Steele Dossier--which the Republicans originally started but then the Democrats later picked up--and which contained information gathered from Russian sources which indicated Trump was being propped up, supported by and acting in concert with the Russian government?

If so--and at this point it's basically a rhetorical question because I'm assuming this is what the Madman's trying to get at--isn't he continuing to actively supporting Russian interference with the US election at this point?

If you have someone in contact with Russian intelligence sources who are willing to risk life and liberty to out the Kremlin's efforts to collude with a US Presidential candidate from a major political party and interfere with the US presidential elections, how is that "collusion" with the Russian government? That's the exact opposite of collusion with the Russian government.

Every time Trump claims that, he's actually propping up the Kremlin even further, which only makes him more and more of a Russian agent.

psych term that means he is accusing other people of doing what he himself did.

Any time he accuses someone of something, it is an admission of his own guilt.

It is a learned reflex, based on decades of getting away with it and buying off and/or outlasting his opponents. He probably learned to do it as a child and never grew out of it.

It shouldn't work for Robert Mueller, however.

and leak them to Wikileaks to make the Democrats and Hillary look bad, and also planted trolls and bots in Facebook in order to plant stories that would make Hillary look bad, so she would win the election! Brilliant!

Russians who risk being imprisoned or even killed by talking about the Kremlin's efforts are in no way an entity to collude with.

He's covering for the Kremlin here. Even today, he still covers for them.

Billy bush asked him why he kept saying apprentice was number one in the ratings when it had not been number one for 5 or 6 years. Trump explained: you just tell them and they believe you.

He said the murder rate was at a 47 year high. When it was close to a 47 year low.

His says whatever helps him. Whether it is true or false is irrelevant.

So Hillary, as Secretary of State, is one of multiple individuals who signed off on a deal for some Russians to take a stake in a Uranium company that doesn't even allow for exportation.....and in return, the Russians agree to hack her emails and sabotage her presidential campaign years later.

Worst. Collusion. Ever.

but it's usually safe to assume that whatever Trump says is a lie. Although I know that it's their job, I feel like sites like Politifact, etc. are usually wasting their time fact-checking Trump's statements. Assume Trump is lying until what he says is verified by a legitimate source seems to be a good rule to live (and die) by.

...when he tweeted that his firing of Comey had nothing to do with Russia, even though he was on record on TV with Lester Holt of admitting that he fired Comey because of Russia.

The audacity of his dishonesty is something else.

I hope that we never have to hear Republicans ever again try to gin up a false narrative of political lies like what they did with Al Gore.
