Who the fuck chose the words "collusion" and "meddling"?

Collusion is what the NFL is doing with Colin Kaperneck. Collusion is a legal term only in civil infractions, not criminal. It's a catch all word. Criminal conspiracy is a form of collusion. That's what this is. It's a conspiracy with a foreign, hostile nation to violate election laws, and thereby deprive the American people of the right to make an informed choice in the election of the President of the United States.

But the one that really gets me is "meddling". Fucking "meddling"? Meddling is when a Mother-in-Law tries to interfere in her son's marriage. "I think Mary keeps the kids up too late. You should speak to her." That's fucking meddling. Putin's conspiracy to destroy our democracy is an act of war, not fucking "meddling". No wonder the average, ill informed voter (especially Republicans) think that the Mueller investigation is unfair. The other side boils it down to "Collusion to meddle."

It's a Conspiracy to destroy our Democracy and an act of war and any Americans who participated in this conspiracy committed treason (or at least espionage).

Statutes with respect to "conspiracy".

Collusion actually is a crime but it is always in respect to Anti-Trust cases.

..I mean after all if this were reversed you know Republicans would be using similarly innocuous and euphemistic language right? They would be calling it treason or conspiracy and traitorous.

Arguing about which terms get thrown around in the media before the indictments come is a meaningless exercise.

Once the indictments come in, legal terms like "conspiracy" and "espionage" among others will be the commonplace matter of discussion.

Patience.
