Both of them are equally guilty. But, Nixon resigned, which was the correct decision to make. Trump should follow Nixon's example.

But he was smart, and he read the handwriting on the wall. And he actually complied with a subpoena when the Supreme Court ruled against him. Much later, he said "it's not illegal if the president does it," but at least he understood that there were certain things he couldn't get away with. At the time, though, there was some speculation about what might happen if he didn't comply with the Supreme Court's order to turn over the tapes, because that was thought to be a possibility. The target was getting buggy, as Malcolm Nance would put it.
