Employees quit American Bible Society over sex and marriage rules

FFS! What is wrong with some of these outfits.

The American Bible Society, founded 202 years ago to publish, distribute and translate the Bible, presented its “Affirmation of Biblical Community” to employees in December. It requires employees to “refrain from sexual contact outside the marriage covenant,” which it defined as man and wife.

Employees are resigning in protest of the new policy, which will effectively prohibit sexually active LGBT people and couples in cohabitating relationships from working for the American Bible Society. But the organization stands by it as a measure intended to bring “unity and clarity.”

Conducted by self-righteous, holier-than-thou assholes. I'm a 71 yr straight female. Not once in my entire life has a same sex couple, living in any city anywhere, negatively impacted my life. Knowledge that same sex couples pleasure one another's bodies has never ever negatively impacted my life. Thoughts about what they may or may not do haven't occupied my mind, since I was about 14 yr in Jr. High School. Maybe if the holy rollers focused more on making their own lives better, rather than minding other peoples' business, they might actually do something worthwhile in the world.

in their subconscious logic bashing LGBT makes them feel right with the world.

....When the Catholic or Orthodox dominated the area.

Then you had laws on which days you could have sex, time, accepted positions, maintain celibacy unless trying to procreate, etc.

....I probably shouldn't give them any ideas.

You couldn't translate the Bible or own one unless you were a priest.
