(34,076 posts)It took our faith community 8 years to agree to marry us, largely because a couple who was unable to procreate said our two women who could not have children (despite the fact that we already had one) were unable to fulfill God's will by having children.

I get in trouble for asking these questions of my in-laws when this topic is brought up...come to think of it, they shut their pie holes when I'm around these days.

So, by their own words, they should never have been allowed to marry. Actually, the woman in that marriage should never have, by those rules, been allowed to marry anyone.
Kind of makes you wonder if the cognitive dissonance hurts their heads, doesn't it?
