Trump supporters believe this is all a part of his genius strategy...

Nobody else is smart enough to understand what he is doing when he tears down our allies and builds up our adversaries and our enemies. Trump is a negotiator. He is smarter than all these other critics.

Nobody understands his genius when he goes to meet the dictator, Kim Jong Un, and does not prepare for what might happen? Trump supporters believe there is a method to his madness. After all, they voted for chaos, disruption, and change. He is doing just what he said he would do.

They have faith in their ignorance and stupidity. They believe he knows just what he is doing.

Who is going to break the news to them?

They are in a room with an axe murderer....

While MSM was looking at conspiracy theories as to why Trump said Russia should be reinstated into the G8, this is most likely the real reason. If MSM would look at things objectively instead of through their hate for Trump they may have seen that.

What I do know is the way we had been doing things got us into this mess with trade, NK, Middle East, homelessness, etc. Maybe this unconventional approach will work. Despite all the resistance from the left it seems to be doing just that, working. Imagine if the left was cooperating! Wow.

Harwood it is amazing I knew you were the author of this bias hateful article just by the title.

First Trump did not spurn our allies as you put it. The tariffs are because our allies spurned us. Even though the tariffs they levy the U.S. are higher than U.S. tariffs they refused to negotiate saying this has been the norm. In that they are correct, administrations for years have allowed allies to take advantage of its. Note Trump has got NATO allies to start paying their fair share. I think you said at the time he spurned them.

As for Russia I see you could not resist pushing the conspiracy theory. But while I was initially surprised of the call to bring Russia back to the G8, there are advantages, first Russia can be helpful with North Korea, second as the old saying goes "keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer. It is better to engage than to isolate, and the more dangerous the foe the more important to keep dialogue alive.

He doesn't un-friend me (and I'm not shy about being anti-Trump) and I don't un-friend him. I *do* shake my head a lot.

BTW, in school, he was a total bad ass. Somewhere along the line, he found Jesus and stopped thinking.

and they are his followers and they will follow him like lemmings off the edge of a cliff if he told him to. Now, if Trump weren't POTUS, I wouldn't give a care. They can all do whatever they want (hey, it's a free country), but it's a yuuuuge problem when you have a decent number of people willing to let him make all of the rest of us march of the cliff with him/them.

7. Attacking "others" including foreigners is good politics

Assuming the bad economics don’t kick in by 2019 I think Trump gains politically anytime he says a Mexican is a rapist, Europeans cheat us, Chinese are sneaky etc. Republicans keep running as racists for a reason. Kevin Phillips with his “southern strategy” of racism which Nixon adopted was a political genius. You only need to know one thing to predict the trump vote in a region. The score in the questionnaire measuring “racial resentment.” That is it. It gives an extremely accurate prediction of the Trump vote and nothing else adds anything to its accuracy. Hatred of “other” is a super duper vote generator. Europe, China, Mexicans, Muslims, welfare cheats (blacks), others. End of story.

Sane whites plus voters who are “others” may not overcome the electoral college tilt. I think we need to prove personal financial corruption, trump caught taking bribes, to get him out. Trump being bribed by Chinese, that’s powerful. China loans $500 million for trump indonesia, three days later Trump sells out American workers to bail out ZTE. Kushner pushes for boycott against QATAR when they refuse to loan his 666 fifth avenue $500 million. Then QATAR gets the message and through brooks whatever, 40% owned by Qatar, 666 gets bailed out. Foreign money bribing Trump. If Dems get control of House I want nonstop investigations into Trump getting crooked foreign money, selling out Americanfor the foreign moolah.

They want so badly to believe he's a stable genius they will swallow anything.

God knows how they will react when Mueller is finished with him.
