Please tell me what exactly did we get out of "the deal" w/N Korea and is it true ....

.... that Trump didn't tell the US military or S. Korea about "the deal" before
he went ahead w/it?

The written agreement states that
- both sides work towards peace in Korea (including South Korea...)
- NK commits to eventually get rid of its nulcear weapons at some point in the future
- the US gets the remains of people who died in the US-Korean war in the 1950s.
