The cult of Trump will be destroyed because of this fact of life.

Reality always crushes illusion in the end.

Trumps entire presidency is based on an illusion. Therefore, his voters are following an illusion. Trumps entire life was an illusion.

The claims Trump makes about the economy, foreign policy, are an illusion. In time reality will override the illusion. We will start seeing the reality of Trumps presidency.

The Mueller investigation is reality. What Trump and his voters say and believe about the investigation is an illusion.

What I don't know, nobody knows, is what will be the final cost for all of us, our country when this illusion is finally destroyed.

I'm very afraid of what Spanky is going to do to my dreams of being able to retire anytime soon, he's going to crush the economy and I'll be screwed. And that's just me, there are millions more in this country without adequate healthcare who Spanky will gladly hurt just to erase one tiny bit of President Obama's legacy.

ingrained mind-think. They are hard-wired for it, no choice. It's pretty much reflexive reactions combined with cult tribal behavior. Trump falls in that mindset too for many, and then there are those that see great money opportunities and power by being Trump sycophants. Trump has tapped into the hatred in the US and has reinforced that hatred into political action. It's dangerous times in the US. If the GOP Trump Cult still maintains congress after the mid-terms, the US is going to decline even more rapidly.

Lots of institutions are based on illusion. Religion for example. Did Mohamad really fly off to heaven on a horse? Did Jesus really float off to heaven after his resurrection? Did winter suddenly turn to spring the day Kim Jung Un was born? Illusion is a strong and lasting force.

The guy created new taxes on the middle class, tripled our national deficit, sold weapons to our enemies, and conspired with terrorists to keep American imprisoned. He put Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussies on the US payroll. When will the facts of life catch up to the St Ronnie fucks?

...indicate it should happen. Remember the internet bubble in the 1990s, Henry Blodget and all of that? Those that shorted lost their shirt. The reason why is because for some it is easy to tell when you are in a bubble, but it is impossible to time its ending.

You are right, there is a Trump bubble, they are stepping away from reality, but assuming that reality is a regulating mechanism is unfortunately not true. The economy, and the political economy, is not truly as efficient as many make it out to be. We experience "market failures" all the time. As an infrastructure economist I see this all the time...

All twitler's flunkies can see how the stink wore off of li'l bush's flunkies -- now we're listening to busheviks' opinions on the tube. Their opinion is that twitler sucks, to be sure, but even a toddler could understand a power dynamic like this.

So current trump mutant operatives can see the cushy landing, though they're not quite as astute as the average add afflicted toddler.

Most every sacred belief or strongly-held philosophy around the globe is based on illusion. The structure of nation-states, economic systems, political parties, and family and social structures are constructed from illusions, built out on illusory foundations, and buttressed by illusions.

Trump will be gone, hopefully sooner rather than later, but his cult will live on long past his (fingers crossed) brief time in the office. I fully expect the motherfucker to be a folk hero to the Right for a generation or more.
