Why no outrage at taking children away from parents?

Sometimes people are too busy to stop and think about news...

.And there is an assumption that it really can't be that bad..
example one:
.....For example: .... 65 people killed in hurricane..?? Here is what I imagined that people thought..(well 65 is not too bad... After all...it was a major storm)

4600 people killed in a hurricane.............OH MY, Awful....... !!!!!!!!
______________________________________________________________________________________
example two:

..Republicans have nominated for President of the U.S.A. a complete idiot and a fool...A selfish person who only thinks of himself all the time. reaction then...oh come on. Trump is in charge of a major business, and a TV personality...Certainly if that were true, we would have heard about it already...(also...."liberal news sources always lie" )

Now.....It appears that Trump is insane..look at his behavior..I don't believe it!!!!! Why weren't we told about this...??

_____________________________________________________________________________________

example three:

Border police are illegally taking children from their parents.....first reaction....
"It is only a few, nobody is being hurt, it is temporary..don't worry it will be worked out in a few days"

..reality sets in.......Our country cannot be taking children from their parents...NO...This cannot be true.
But it is true. Look at the pictures. (today 6/14/) we have pictures. Impossible, not in the U.S.A can't be true.
....And, it is not a few, it is hundreds of children taken from parents.

NO...NOT IN THE USA....

Conclusion..& my opinion. Reality will indeed set in. Trump has incarcerated hundreds of children and taken them from their parents...Trump ordered it. It is illegal. He ordered this without legal authority. In the U.S.A we do not take children from their parents without a legal procedure and a trial and a verdict...When this hits the majority of people in the U.S., Trump is done and so is the Republican Party. I think it will take time because nobody can believe....it is hundreds...not just a few....and remember this thinking..well these are minority people not citizens, they have no rights..........
..
But this will also sink in.....The U.S Constitution basically says there must be a trial by jury for illegal activity...Everyone is entitled to a trial...even people trying to gain entrance to the U.S.A. illegally. The government cannot legally take children from their parents without a trial....
. ....proof that the Constitution says this.....

b].Amendment 6
. from the "Bill of Rights (First 10 Amendments of Constitution)

- Rights of Accused Persons in Criminal Cases

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor; and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

We no longer live in a Constitutional Republic, we live in a tyrannical pseudo-dictatorship and the "pseudo-" label is rapidly being eroded away as well.

This nation is failing its most serious test in its history and scarcely anyone seems to notice or care or act. There are parts of the media howling and covering Trump as entertainment theater, but very, very few are staying on message and pointing out exactly how the republic is being eroded.

A sad, ignominious end for a once great nation and an even better idea...

mark the end of tRump and his party, and the incident doesn't register nor make a dent. When people are morally corrupt at their core, nothing changes them. That is who they are.

Its obvious our feckless Republican government is dragging its feet on addressing this atrocity. When is the UN going to condemn Donald Trump as a criminal for this policy?

5. Because people want to deny that it's that bad. It's a natural human reaction.

How could this be real? It sounds like a bad movie. People are surely exaggerating these stories, and look, there's a tweet with some minor inaccurate facts from JezHuffFeed. Phew, fake news, what a relief.

Instead of reacting to this barrage of horror, we freeze because we don't know what to do. We have to resist the urge to turn away.

6. You are correct. It is a natureal human reaction.

It can't be that bad is the reaction. Here is a story that exemplifies what you said. After WWII, there was unbelievable news, from the war, that there were concentration camps where millions were killed. What happened is what this is about, till General Eisenhower made sure that "new reals" were made, that showed the brutality killing in those camps. Eisenhower deliberately allowed filming and encouraged it to inform the U.S.A. what happened. At the time, 1945 there was no TV. To get the truth out, the news reals of dead bodies and the horror of the camps was shown in movie theaters as part of the "news" portion of the presentation.

During those times..in the 40s. there was a number of items shown in movie theaters that are not presented or shown now. First, there was the "news of the day" then, a "cartoon" then often a "short film" then the coming attractions, and after that there was the movie that people came to see. ...Sometimes there was a "serial" presentation like, "Flash Gordon" where one episode was presented one week and another the next week and so on.

So getting moving pictures of the "news" was part of the program, and Eisenhower wanted this awful unbelievable news about the concentration camps told as part of the war. The allies liberated these camps and found this unbelievable horror that the Germans carried out. That horror needed to be shown and seen to believed..why? Because nobody would believe that ...It was that bad... People wanted to deny that the war was that bad. WWII was actually much worse.....It is estimated that 15 to 20 million Russians were killed during WWII.
