Ex-GOP lawmaker on DOJ report: 'Sounds like Hillary got screwed'

A former Republican lawmaker said the Department of Justice (DOJ) inspector general's report released on Thursday makes it clear that former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton "got screwed" in the FBI's 2016 investigation of her private email server.

Former Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) tweeted hours after the report went public, pointing to four conclusions of his from the more-than-500-page watchdog report.

Walsh, now a conservative radio host and a frequent critic of President Trump, made the comments in regard to the report that found former FBI Director James Comey "deviated" from FBI and DOJ procedures while undertaking the investigation examining Clinton's use of a private email server.

"While we did not find that these decisions were the result of political bias on Comey’s part, we nevertheless concluded that by departing so clearly and dramatically from FBI and department norms, the decisions negatively impacted the perception of the FBI and the department as fair administrators of justice,” DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz said in the report.

I don't trust him. If it's his conclusion that Hillary got screwed, what's his motivation? To continue to attack our intel agencies? He's far right, so isn't he a Trumper (a/k/a Cult member)?
