Ana Navarro: Dear California, I love you. For the love of humanity, get rid of Devin Nunes.

Dear California, I love your coastline. I love your wildflowers. I love your ocean. I love your wine country. I love your forests and Sequoia trees. I love your fog and I can deal with your smog. All I ask is one little favor. For the love of humanity, get rid of Devin Nunes.

She was reacting to this tweet from Josh Marshall:

In light of IG's failure to look at leaking/anti-Clinton bias among agents in NYC field office, this seems quite relevant. Nunes says "good FBI agents" told him about Weiner laptop in late September 2016.

Fox News video with that tweet.

Brains poisoned by all the agricultural chemicals in the atmosphere. Have driven though there several times with the windows closed because the smell is so atrocious. An African American friend of mine grew up there and moved back to care for her elderly mother. After her mother passed she couldn’t wait to move back to Las Vegas. She said there were so many stupid bigot hillbillies she couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

Both inhibit normal brain development.

The smell is factory farm dairy operations, cows that will never walk on green grass hillsides.

and as others have pointed out, it’s a pretty shitty red area. I hope Janz does well, and maybe if the DCCC spent some resources there he might, but it’ll be an uphill battle.

Sorry Vermont.

Seriously though, the coast and most of the large Urban Centers lean Democratic, but there are areas of California that are as Red as Tennessee.

Here is an article from 2014 from the Sacramento Bee that illustrates some of the oddity of California, especially Orange County and the San Joaquin Valley.

Nunes District is in the Eastern part of Fresno County, Tulare, and Visalia, not in the metro Fresno area. Lots of conservative farmers and ranchers out there.
