Learning takes work. Ignorance is easy.

When I was a kid, my parents told me that learning is important.

At the time, I didn't really understand what they were saying, but I tried.

Yoda said, "Do, or do not. There is no try." So, even though I didn't grow up with Yoda's wisdom, I came to understand the importance of learning.

And perhaps the most important thing I learned is that learning is a lifelong endeavor.

There's an old-world saying: "You're either a fool or a knave."

A fool is an ignorant person, -- A person incapable of learning or acquiring knowledge.

A knave is a villain. A prick. And sometimes, a really cruel, evil prick.

Most people who have spent some time learning, grasp the concepts of right and wrong, good and evil.

Ignorant people are apparently incapable of recognizing a cruel, evil prick.

What has amazed me is how many ignorant people there are in America.

Who could have imagined that an ignorant, narcissistic, and totally cruel, evil prick like Donald Trump could ever have gotten elected to anything?

Yet, here we are. A horror in the Oval Office. And education/knowledge being spit upon by knaves who number in the millions.

"The day you stop learning is the day you start dying."

I was in 1st grade and had skipped school with my 3rd grade brother and he had caught us. He whipped us with a yard stick (a 3 foot ruler) and then said that us.

It scared the shit out of me and permanently instilled a great fondness and respect for learning and those that teach. Thank you, Grandpa!

2. "We don't need no education" - theme song for some generations who grew up in the 70s and 80s.

Too bad so many took it as an anthem against learning and an excuse for being ignorant. If only they understood the real meaning of the song they might realize they are being played. Not that the song caused this idiocracy in America, they just heard what they wanted to hear and disregarded the rest.

3. As I keep pointing out, Trump is the almost inevitable result of the last 50 years of Republicanism.

I hope Trump represents the culmination and that we'll see a return to some semblance of sanity, but a hell of a lot of damage has been done over the last 50 years.

...a American politician uses a enemy of this country to use psychological warfare, tested, and very effective to make others think a certain way, and they are very good at this. trump's using this against this country to sway his people into believing all his BS and lies. Putin has weaponized the power of persuading people's thinking his way , just like trump is doing to people now.

Aesop's, The Grasshopper and the Ant, is a fine example of this.
